Shaftesbury DYCA satellite offers exciting new climbing opportunities to girls aged 11-18 years old

Dorset Youth Climbing Academy have teamed up with Active Dorset to offer an exciting new opportunity to climb through the satellite club program. By 2017 every secondary school in the UK will have satellite club provision offered. The aims of satellite clubs is to increase participation in sport, helping teenagers and young people to access new and exciting sporting opportunities. Satellite clubs bridge the gap between schools, colleges, university and the wider community.

  • Offer rock climbing as a new activity to a new community of young people aged 11-18 years of age at a reduced fee, expanding to 11-25 years old soon!
  • Offer high quality coaching and access to all DYCA clubs, trips, competitions, ventures, the award scheme and Junior Instructor program.

The DYCA Shaftesbury  satellite club will run at the Shaftesbury School climbing wall on the following dates.

2nd June – 9th June – 16th June – 23rd June – 30th June & 7th July
